Oregon State University (OSU), located in Corvallis, Oregon is one of only two U.S. universities designated a land-, sea-, space- and sun-grant institution. OSU is also Oregon’s only university designated in the Carnegie Foundation’s top tier for research institutions, garnering more than 60 percent of the total federal and private research funding in the Oregon University System. Its more than 20,300 students come from all 50 states and more than 80 countries. FDC collaboration is with Prof. John Wager whose research applications include next generation displays, lighting, solar cells, and transparent electronics.
The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is located in Richardson, Texas. FDC collaboration is through the Dept. of Electrical Engineering whose research interests include: electronic materials with an emphasis on dielectrics (low-K, high-K, and gate dielectrics other than SiO2) and display materials with emphasis on field emission materials, thin-film getters, and spacer materials molecular electronics. They have a Center for Organic Semiconductor Modeling and Simulation and funding for research of electronic textiles.
Lehigh University was founded in 1865 and is located in Bethlehem, Pa. FDC collaboration is through the Center of Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology in the areas of electronic thin film materials and devices, microelectronics on flexible substrates and integrated Microsystems.
